I’m a baronet on the Internet

… nearly. Today I found out my cousin’s father (not my uncle, it’s complicated) is a baronet, and so, I’m related to nobility. The line includes former MPs and all sorts. That’s a happy thing. Apologies for not writing the blog regularly…. I’ve been busy.20130428-101944 PM.jpg

Hello, and welcome once again to the weekly post by me, Rcsprinter. Here today –

*How mad is your texture glitch getting? My Orange Houses keep getting replaced with random parts of tetherball, and my parking lots with sections of Gulp n’ Blow. If you see a particularly weird one, capture it and send it in.

*Escaping snakes – they can go outside the land you have bought, but only just. They are still whackable.

*And as if that wasn’t enough, another strange behaviour of the snakes is their tendency to crowd around objects – be that decorations, buildings, roads, characters or eggs, but when you’re down to the only thing you can’t get rid of (the Simpsons home), they’ll stack up outside it:

Greetings, fellow players. This is my weekly post Outsiders’ Musings, and we’re up to the sixth edition. I’m looking at how often one can expect to win with each dog at the Springfield Downs, so I did a bit of an experiment. Over the last couple of weeks every hour I noted down which dog was the winner. The resulting conclusion is bet on Raised by Wolves; you have a 30% chance of winning.

Raised by Wolves IIIIIIII
Obedience School Dropout IIIIIII
Not a Chance II
Drool Britannia IIII
Dogbiscuit IIIIII

Secondly, if you want any extra friends to collect money and snakes off, there’s a good website at http://www.simpsonstappedout.eu/ where you can advertise your Origin name to gather friends. Comments and suggestions to rcsprinter.wikipedia@gmail.com .

Eatery review: The George Hotel, Hayfield (Derbyshire, UK)

20130415-102423 PM.jpg
Name: The George Hotel
Location: Hayfield, High Peak, Derbyshire, UK
Website: The George
Stars: 5 (*****)

In honour of the birthday of my father, my family went out to have a pub tea to celebrate. I have to say my experience with the George was excellent. There is a big fire on an old range, many old pictures of Hayfield adorn the walls and there is a distinctive family feel about it. The food didn’t take too long to arrive and it was good value, so the entire meal cost only about £30 (plus drinks) which is far cheaper than other restaurants one visits.

Food tasted great, no concerns there. Interesting stained glass window, wooden beams crossing the ceiling, wide selection of drinks at the bar, accommodation if needed.

I give five stars out of five overall. Four for value, five for atmosphere, three for service and four for food.

Please look out for my next eatery review!

Which actors would play the people of Springfield?

While browsing the net looking for interesting stuff to share with the gamers of Tapped Out, I came across this interesting Reddit forum which asks

If The Simpsons was shot in live-action, which actors would you pick to play the people of Springfield?

Even if you aren’t an avid viewer of the show, most of the major characters appear in the game so you should have an idea of what they look like, and for most of them, their voices (see here for why some don’t have voices).

On the page there are some fabulous suggestions, with some 904 comments as to who would be good. Please comment below with your nominations! I’ll find the most frequent eight for one character later in the week and we’ll have a proper poll to see who would play them.
